He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sather and Bernice Sather (Garden); his siblings, Carlton, Marilyn and Sylvia; and his son-in-law Donnie Meints.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Syverson (Bea); his children, Deb Meints, Val Vankley (Bill), Deino Sather (Therese) of Elkhorn, NE and Lisa Long (Rick); his grandchildren, Jeff Thorstenson (Kristie), Christopher Brandner (Amber), Justin Thorstenson (Julie), Jason Thorstenson (Jamie), Josh Guthmiller (Mindy), Amanda Guthmiller (Matt), Andrea Larson (Mickey), Matt Sather (Lyndsey), Nicole O'Neill (Andy) and Logan Vankley; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Long (Wendy), Jordan Long (Bridget) and Lisa Miller (Jim); his siblings, Al Sather (Genelle), Connie Nokken and Ron Sather; and his sister-in-law Lavonne Babler (Vince). He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
