It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Baumgartner of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Baumgartner and Laura Baumgartner (Menzel); his siblings, George Baumgartner and Evelyn Stolberg; and his grandson Jonah Baumgartner.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Kriel; his brother Howard Baumgartner of Bloomington, MN; his children, Laurel Hartwig (Randy) of Mitchell, Marion Barron (Ron) of Dallas, TX, David Baumgartner of Holden, MA and Daniel Baumgartner (Sonja VanGuilder) of Hudson, WI; his grandsons, Elijah Baumgartner of New Richmond and Isaiah Baumgartner of Eau Claire, WI.; and also Evelyn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Avera Home Hospice or James Valley Community Center.
