It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Haiar of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on September 26, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Haiar and Marie Haiar (Wolf). He is survived by: his wife Mary Varnell; his stepchildren, Robert and Valerie; his siblings, Terry Haiar (Kathy) of Alexandria and Karen Mueting (Joe) of Spencer, IA; and his nieces and nephews, Robin Haiar, Kelly, Jesse Haines, Kim, Chris Haines, Katie Mueting (Greg Roth), Andy Mueting (Kelly), Liz Ascherl (Andrew) and Nathan Mueting.
