He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Reine Harmes; his brothers, Miller, Oil Co and Truck Haven; his wife Eileen; his grandson Justin; his children, Madison, Emma, Jordan Long, Haley and Scott Harmes (Kristin Backstrom) of Richfield, MN; his grandchildren, Andrew of Richfield, MN, Caleb of Richfield, MN, Levi of Richfield, MN and Faith of Richfield, MN; his siblings, Bill Harmes (Gayle) of Arlington, VA and Andrea Sindt (Jack) of Mitchell, SD; and his sisters-in-law, Marlys Schirmer Mills (Jerry Small) and Marcene Kessler of Aurora, CO.
