He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVonne E. Sand (Young) and Donald L. Sand. He is survived by: his wife Esther Sand (Trabing) of Brooklyn Park, MN; his children, Brian Sand (Emily) of Minneapolis, MN, Brice Sand (Laura) of Corcoran, MN, Kurt Sand of Plymouth, MN and Kara Keillor (Brandon) of Otsego, MN; and his siblings, Dan Sand (Cathy) of Mitchell, SD, Mary Schonebaum of Yankton, Cathy Allbaugh (Bob) of Bettendorf, IA, Bonnie Paule (Dan) of Henderson, NV and Becci Gregg (Jody) of Lake Elmo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
