He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bartscher and Eleanora Bartscher (Mentele); his daughter Roberta Hanks; his son-in-law Gordy Walz; and his brothers, Don and Eugene.
He is survived by: his cousin Eldon; his sons, Buck and Bartscher Concrete; his wife Leona Bartscher; his children, Mary Bartscher of Mitchell, Carol Peterson (Mark) of Johnston, IA, Hank Bartscher (Lesley) of Mitchell, Debra Walz (Gordy) of Mitchell, Karen Kroeplin (Doug) of Highmore, Jon Bartscher (Tanya) of Mitchell, Connie Kutsaftis (George) of Portsmouth, RI and Steven Bartscher (Angela) of Mitchell; his sisters, Alice Schleich, Irene Olinger, Connie Bukacek, Georgie Weber and Maureen Weber; and his son-in-law Eric Hanks (Carol). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
