He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gere and Dorothy Gere (Furchner); his wife Marjory Murphy; his sister IdaMae; his parents-in-law, Edward and Ruth Murphy; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Murphy and Darlene.
He is survived by: his children, Georgeann Wamboldt (Jeff), Greg Gere (Cindy), Gina Laws (Randy) and Gretchen Elston (Dan); his grandchildren, Denise Gere, Kelsey Wise, Adam Wamboldt and Jesse Laws (Angela); and his great grandchild Ethan Wise (Ardis Schrooten).
