With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Buck of Mitchell, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Buck and Julia Buck (Dobbs); and his sister Betty (Mike Cullen). He is survived by: his wife Susan Jensen; his sons, Frank Buck (Tammy) of Beardsley, MN and Jimmy Buck (Gretchen) of New Orleans, LA; his brother Edward Buck (Nancy) of Flandreau; and his stepgranddaughter Emily Waldner. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A prayer was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
