She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Spaans and Minnie Spaans (Judstra); her husband Raymond Houska; her siblings, Albert, Robert Spaans and Henrietta Yutrzenka (Bernard); her parents-in-law, Joseph and Christine Houska; and her siblings-in-law, Ralph Houska and Marcella Meier.
She is survived by: her children, James Houska (Bernice) of Mitchell, SD and Linda Thompson (Steve) of Wessington Springs, SD; her granddaughter Michelle Tong (Jeff) of Miller, SD; her children, Kaci, Kayla, Dylan, Austin Schimke, Eric Thompson (Jill) of Tea, SD, Brayden, Blake, Lauren Thompson, Ryan Thompson (Jennifer) of Tea, SD, Peyton, Oakley and McKenzie Thompson; and her sisters-in-law, Norma Spaans of Salem, SD and Pat Kenzy of Platte, SD..
