It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Gerlach of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Goldammer and Martha Goldammer (Olawsky); and her husband Elmer Gerlach of Mt. Vernon. She is survived by: her children, Rod (Dawn) and Lynette Koziol (Jim) of Denver, Colo.; her grandchildren, Jay Gerlach of Rowayton, Conn., Alyssa Dodd (Andrew) of Waukee, Amber Koziol of Centennial and Amanda Koziol of Casper, Wyo.; her great grandchildren, Hunter and Kaylee Dodd; and her siblings, Ervin Goldammer of Custer, S. D., Wilbert Goldammer of Bakersfield, Calif, Darrel Goldammer of Sioux Falls, S. D., Richard Goldammer of Mitchell, Edna Sprecher of Corsica, S. D. and Ann Wilson of Watertown, S. D..
Memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church in Mitchell and the Mt. Vernon American Legion Auxiliary.
