With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Scholten of Mitchell, South Dakota, born in Sanborn, Iowa, who passed away on September 5, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Scholten and Caroline Scholten; and his siblings, Robert Scholten (Rosie) and Harriet Mouw (John). He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Brunk; his children, Brenda Schmidt (Kent) of Colorado Springs, CO and Chad (Laura) of Spearfish, SD; his grandsons, Ryan Schmidt (Danielle), Jason Schmidt, Cade Scholten and Ian Scholten; and his great grandchildren, Luke Scholten, Linnea Schmidt and Holland Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
