He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Shepard and Clara Shepard (Willard); his wife Patricia; and his siblings, Sonny, Clara, Leona and Leota.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Picchietti, David Shepard and Don Shepard; his stepson James "Jim" Hiemstra; and his grandchildren, Austin Shepard, Zach Picchietti and Mellissa Shepard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel (210 E Green Dr, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
