He is survived by: his parents, Christa DeJong (Dean) of Avon and Keith Erickson of Pierre; his siblings, Jason DeJong (Emily Cap) of Brookings, Riley DeJong of Avon and Rachael DeJong of Avon; and his grandfathers, Jim Borgstadt of Mitchell and Harlan DeJong (Fran) of Springfield.
