He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hilton and Vera Hilton (Kellogg); his wife Mary Jane Schmitz; and his siblings, Earl, Darrell, Donna and Shirley.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Voight (Orie), Ann Hilton, Mike Hilton (Brenda), Jim Hilton (Jan), Mary Nethercott (Brian), Kathy Glassett (Kelly), Bill Hilton (Pati) and John Hilton; and his grandchildren, Adam, Ann, Mary Voight, Melissa Collins, Katy, Shawn Hilton, Jason Anderson, Micki Hejduk, Jamie Anderson, Tanner Hilton, Caroline, Molly Nethercott, Riley Glassett, Austin, Justin, Ellie Hilton, Brayden and Hunter Hilton. He is also survived by several great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to John Paul II Catholic Elementary School in Mitchell, SD are preferred.
