He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Theodor and Isabel Elizabeth Farris (Bennett); his wife Donna Jean; and his sister Carol Elaine Johnson. He is survived by: his son Rick Farris (Karen) of Mitchell, SD; his grandchildren, Eric Farris (Ashley Vejvoda) of Auburn, NE and Lauren Farris (Levi Peters) of Lincoln, NE; and his sister Doris Stamps of Lexington, NE. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
