With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Esther Pietz of Mitchell, South Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Esther left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Kurtz and Sophia Kurtz; her siblings, Arthur, Clifford, Elmer and Irene Moke; and her son-in-law Mike Marsh.
She is survived by: her husband Milbert Pietz; her children, Daniel (Pat), Micheal (Karen), Judy Marsh, Sandy Hurst (Tom), Ralph (Angie), Susan Engelhart (Jim) and Marcia Hilsendeger (Tom); and her brothers, Robert and Richard. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Reformed Church (501 W 15th Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be donated to Hospice Home Care.
