She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Garfield Nelson and Cleva Nelson (Burnett); her children, Karen Boyd of Omaha, NE, Kay Gunderson (Dennis) of Chamberlain, SD, Melvin "Bill" Sargent Jr. (Ronda), Kathy Wentland (Glen), Linda Kobold of Sioux Falls, SD, Ron Sargent (June) of Rapid City, SD, Gaye Hubbard-Figueroa (Rene) of Larchwood, IA, Melody Maeschen-Granberg (Rich) of Pierre, SD and Edwards Sargent of Mitchell, SD; her husband Melvin Sargent; and her daughter Sherry Sargent. She was also cherished by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army.
