He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Ligtenberg and Florence Ligtenberg (Star); his sons, Dwight and Warren; his granddaughter Amanda Hansen; his siblings, Robert (Corky), Ruby DeVries (Leonard), Eileen Van Zee (Andy), Jim (Jeri) and Phyllis De Haai; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Vanden Berge.
He is survived by: his wife Evalou Vanden Berge; his children, Diane Hansen (John) of Canova, Wanda Blank Franklin (Michael) and Barry of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Tim Hansen of Mitchell, David Hansen of Howard, Kristen Kuyper of Franklin, WI, Jennifer Winge (John) of Harrisburg, Heather Helwer (Matt) of Milwaukee, WI and April Miller (Aaron) of Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Marlena, Leigh, Kensi, Shelby, Katherine, Lauren, Emily, Benjamin, Chloe, Jessi, William and Emma; his siblings-in-law, Norm DeHaai (Mary-Ann) of Harrisburg and Eunice Vanden Berge of Corsica; and his caregivers, Dave Schreiner and Mollie Sweet. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
