We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2023, at the age of 88, Eleanor Asmus of Mitchell, South Dakota, born in Fairbury, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earle Hollaway and Cecile Leona Hollaway (Mentzer); her husband Alvin Asmus; and her son Alan Asmus. She is survived by: her children, Michael Asmus (Debbie Heindel) of Mitchell, Sheri Asmus Dyer (Ian) of Oviedo, FL and James Asmus (Jim) of Sioux Falls; her daughter-in-law Denise Asmus (Martin) of Mitchell; her grandchildren, Jessica Haugaard (Craig), Matt Spieler (Brittany), Kelsey Range (Clint), Kaitlyn Van Peursem (Joel), Eric Asmus (Chelsea Tripp), Heather Wieczorek (Chad), Alex Asmus (Haley Stahl), Jillian (Dyer), Vogler Vogler (Matt) and AmyJane Dyer; and her sister Leona Wiersma of Shell Knob, MO. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
