With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane Wald of Mitchell, South Dakota, born in Zeeland, North Dakota, who passed away on March 10, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Frank" Wald and Rose Wald (Erck); his brother Tom Wald; his parents-in-law, William and Alma Fritz; and his brothers-in-law, William Fritz (Billie), Robert Fritz, Cameron Geritz and Ronald Eldred.
He is survived by: his spouse Laurel Fritz (Lori); his daughter Donnita Folmer (Dave); his grandchild Lauren Folmer of Bismarck, ND; his daughters, Lynn Paulson (Darren) of Rapid City, SD and Kari Gales (Steve); his grandchildren, Davis and Brynn Gales of Watertown, SD; his siblings, Carol Geritz, Darlene Eldred and Allyn Wald (Ann); and his siblings-in-law, Harold Fritz (Harriet) and Deborah Wald. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and his "fur" grand dogs.
