It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane V. Strand of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Quentin (Sherrie), Mark (Patricia) and Jonathan (Jill); his grandfather Knudt Strand; his wife Kandee Greenfield; his children, Susan Walia (Shami Walia), Virginia, Timothy Marion (Sharee) and Kari Strand (Lyndon Bolt); his grandchildren, Evie Riedmann, Eric, Evan, Ethan Strand, Selah Strand, Kelsie George, Caleb, Jared, Seth Strand, Marissa, Tristan, Briana Walia, Macallan and Stella Bolt; his great grandchildren, Hallie and Jude Strand; his siblings, Edward Strand (Lois) of Mitchell, SD, Pastor Julius K Strand (Bobbie Jean), Leona Stehly (Don) of Mitchell, SD and Margaret Shonley; his brother-in-law Ivan Shonley; and his parents-in-law, Rosetta, LaVern Hildebrandt, Marion and Martha Greenfield.
No funeral service will be held at this time due to the covid pandemic, but a celebration of life will be at a later date in 2021.
