He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Eleanor Bleeker (Thompson) and Herman L. Bleeker; and his son-in-law Bruce Davis. He is survived by: his cousin Loree Dempsy; his wife Jeanine; his children, Paul Bleeker (Judith) of Apex, NC, David Bleeker of Pekin, IL, Patricia Bleeker and Pamala Davis of Mitchell, SD; his grandsons, Jonathan Alexa (Erica), Bruce Davis, Alexander, Matthew and Christopher Bleeker; and his siblings-in-law, Rodney and Leona Brakke of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
After 40 plus years of fighting Diabetes, and then the aftermath of Covid 19 for the last year, Douglas Rodney Bleeker's body simply gave out and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ called him home at approximately 10:15 p. m. on December 19, 2021 to celebrate Christmas in heaven after a lovely day visiting with friends in Mitchell.
