It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DeWayne Hanson of Mitchell, South Dakota, born in Fulton, South Dakota, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Hanson and Myrtle Hanson (Foster); his wife Carol Clark; his son Steve Hanson; his grandson Aaron Hanson; his siblings, Delton Hanson, Robert Hanson (Peggy), Donald Hanson, Terry Hanson and Shirley Renken (Pete); and his brothers-in-law, Ray Fischer and Gene Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Stewart Hanson (JoLynn) of Mitchell, SD and Sue Hanson of Mitchell, SD; his grandchildren, Angie Muller (Anthony) of Sioux Falls, SD, Crystal Hanson (Skip) of Sioux Falls, SD, Alissa Dougherty (Dusty) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kelsey Hanson of Sioux Falls, SD, Lee Glanzer of Sioux Falls, SD, Ashley Harmon (Mike) of Riverton, WY, Kolton Hanson (Natasha) of Sturgis, SD, Jennifer Wittenhagen (Travis) of Mitchell, SD, Jason Easton of Mitchell, SD, Justin Easton of Mitchell, SD and Jordan Hanson (Emily) of Mitchell, SD; his sister Millie Fischer of Parkston; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Hanson of Mitchell and Bob Clark (Pam) of Rowlette, TX.. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
