With heavy hearts, we announce the death of DeWayne Baumgart of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on October 14, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, August Baumgart and Alice Baumgart (Dickson); and his son Bobby. He is survived by: his wife Rita James; his children, Tyler (Amy) of Parkston, Brad (Susan) of Lennox, Brian (Brea) of Mitchell and Kristie "Tootie" Wagner (Basil) of Summerset, SD; and his siblings, Denny (Jan), Dale (Cherrie), Irene Hohn and Karen Berg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
