She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Nelson and Callista Nelson (Winker); her spouse Darnell "Doc" Peterson; her granddaughter Tanna Kingsbury; her sisters, Cel Halter (Bob), Shirley Nelson and Mary Hitzemann (Bob); her sister-in-law Harriet Bresee (John); her nephews, Tom Walters and Bryan Halter; and her niece Shelli Eberle.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD, Jim Peterson of Alexandria, SD and Lynette Kingsbury (Kevin) of Letcher, SD; her sisters, Rosie Warner (Charlie) of Sioux Falls and Karen Walters (Fred) of Council Bluff, IA; and her brothers-in-law, Rollo Peterson (Sharon) of Sioux Falls, Alden Peterson (Faye) and Dale Peterson (Connie) of Sioux. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
