He is survived by: his wife Mary Kraft of Mitchell; his children, Mike Dorris (Tonya) of Huron, MaryJo Bult (Rod) of Huron, Spring Metter (Troy) of Iroquois, Connie Dorris of Mitchell and Shane Dorris (Jenn) of Kansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, David, Christen, Taylor, Nessa, Lucas, Brandon M. Tim, Dillon, Brett (Ranae), Tyler, Devon, Blake, Sam, Lewis, Brittany, Haylee, Ashley, Danyell (Cody), Jacob, Damian, Ethan and Shane Jr.; and his siblings, Sandy Story (Darin) of Huron, Don Dorris (Peggy) of Tulare, Wynn Dorris (Mariah) of Huron, Vicky Jo Rudd (Mike) of Huron, Nickie Dorris of Huron, Carol Stainbrook (James) of Roswell, Greg Summers (Leanne) of Casper, Todd Summers, Heather Summers of Casper and Jackie Young of Casper, Wyo.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery.
