She was predeceased by: her parents, James Louis and Mary Mae Traupel (Cline); her stepsister Phyllis Weller; her husband John H. Ackerman; her sons, Michael and James Ackerman; her son-in-law Bruce Kniffen; and her great grandchild Rayne.
She is survived by: her brother Jimmy Jr.; her daughters, Maryl Hatwan of Mitchell, SD, Barbara Vasquez (Thomas) of Scottsdale, AZ and Ladonna Kniffen of Yankton, SD; her daughters-in-law, Betty Sue Ackerman of Hope Mills, NC and Judy Ackerman of Fairmont, MN; her brother Traupel of Mitchell, SD; and her sister-in-law Marge Ackerman of Iona, MN.. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
