She is survived by: her husband Robert Johnston; her children, Gwendolyn Parker (Rob) of Spencer, SD and James Johnston (Deanna) of Ferndale, MI; her grandchildren, Shawn, Quenton, Brooke, Damon, Dylan, Dawson and Harley; her siblings, Martha Phillips (Russ), Debbie Shotwell, Marilyn Peterson, Norma Peterson, Margie Peterson, Robert Welte and Steve Peterson (Melanie); and her stepmother Barbara Vandenboom.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Carol's name.
