She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Gaston and John Wayne Peer; her husband Donald "Bud" Wire; her sons, David Preston Wire and Daniel Paul Wire; and her siblings, Norma Heidinger, Vera May and Laverne Peer.
She is survived by: her children, Laverne "Dick" Wire (Carol) of Madison, SD, Ronald "Butch" Wire (Mary) of Pierre, SD and Colleen Bouman (Robert) of White River, SD; her grandchildren, Heather Olson (Mark), Tasha Seten (Marty), Jared Wire (Danielle), Angie Fouts (Michael), Amy Samuelson, Brad Wire (Kayla), Casey Hight (Jess), Dustin Hight (Joanne), Kristen Bouman (William) and Justin Bouman (Alex); and her siblings, Warren Peer of Artesian, SD and Donna Glanzer of Wolsey, SD.. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
