It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Bentz of Mitchell, South Dakota, born in Naper, Nebraska, who passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Stoltenberg and Theresa Stoltenberg (Derner); her husband Don; her daughter Lori; and her siblings, Albert Stoltenberg (Delores), Verlin and Barb Wentz.
She is survived by: her sons, Allen (Vonda), Darrell (Joann), Kevin (Lynne) and Chad (Michele); her brother Ken (Shirley); and her brother-in-law Bob Wentz. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ucc Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Cemetery.
