He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Smith and Louise Smith (Clemens); his wife Phyllis Kenton; and his pets, Tiger, Charlie and Kelley.
He is survived by: his sister Peggy Smith of Pinetop, AZ; and his parents-in-law, Judy Kenton of Mitchell, SD, James and Carol Kenton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Diamond Care Center in Bridgewater, SD.
