He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Zens and Martha Zens (Paradeis); his wives, Leona Thoele and Vera Hill; his brothers, Norbert (Freeda), Ambrose (Catherine) and Clement Zens (Elsie); and his brother-in-law Clayton Goodhope.
He is survived by: his daughter Sue Olson (Terry) of Madison, SD; his grandson Lee Olson (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Imogen, Christian, Elliot and Hadley of Red Wing, MN; his grandson Jess Olson of Madison, SD; his sister Mary Goodhope of Santa Barbara, CA; and his stepchildren, Linda Bass, Bernice Larson, Vern, Bob and Rick Hill.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church.
