He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Schneider and Mildred Schneider (Cherry); his daughter Julie; his siblings, Kay Ilene Schneider and Terry; and his brother-in-law Steve Koustrip.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Mehlhaff (Bertram); his stepdaughter Sandi Paugh (Brian); his siblings, Paul (Karen) and Marcia Koustrup; his grandchildren, Brittany, Drew and Brody; and his stepgrandsons, Josh (Ashley) and Jaaron (Randi). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301).
