She was predeceased by: her parents, John VanDenBerg and Beulah VanDenBerg (Wilson); her sister-in-law Jerene Stevens; her husband Gene Stevens; her daughter Ellen; her children-in-law, Don and Deb; and her sisters, Dephane and Sharon.
She is survived by: her sons, Merle Stevens (Karon) of Wessington Springs, Dean Stevens (Judy) of Huron, Terry Stevens (Trudy) of Miller and Neil Stevens (Sandra) of Miller; her grandchildren, John Stevens (Lorie) of Wessington Springs, Jeremy Stevens (Marci) of St. Lawrence, Lance Hosman (Kathy) of Stickney, TJ, Brian Hosman (Amy) of Sioux Falls, Shane Stevens (Tracy) of Gettysburg, DeNeil Hosman (Glenn) of Pierre, Jessica Oolman (Eric) of Orange City, IA, Cody Stevens of St. Lawrence, Casie Stevens of Miller, Andrea Jones (Matt) of Miller, Travis Stevens (Kayla) of Miller and Clate Stevens (Jessica) of Miller; her sisters, Anita Fremark and Beryle Sessions; and her brother-in-law Don Carl.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (321 W 1st Ave, Miller, SD 57362). A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the G. A. R. Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the First Presbyterian Choir or the Courtyard Villa Assisted Living.
