He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Baker (Buff) and Regina Katherine Baker (Weidner); his parents-in-law, Lee Fugate and Sigrid "Bonnie" Fugate; and his brother-in-law Don Jorgenson.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Ann Prangley; his children, William (Eve) of Queen Creek, AZ, Caroline McGillvrey (Jim) of Wolsey, SD, Michael (Cherry) of St. Lawrence, SD, Christopher of St. Lawrence, SD and John (Connie) of Ellicott City, MD; his stepchildren, Jan Delgado (Brian Gonthier) of St. Petersburg, FL and Todd Prangley (Karla) of Plankinton, SD; and his sister Marion Jorgenson of Huron, SD. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Wally's family will donate memorials received to his favorite charities, St. Joseph's Indian School (stjo.org) and Covenant House (covenanthouse.org).
