He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wales and Inez Mary Cotton (Harris); his siblings, Donald (Donnie), Howard (Hum), Maxine Lamm (Ted) and Joan Cotton; his parents-in-law, Freel and Orena Testerman; and his siblings-in-law, Allen Testerman (Eva), Russell Testerman (Berniece), Marion Sears (Bill), Donald Testerman, Roger Carter and Duke Testerman.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Mae (Testerman); his children, Gregory Mark Cotton (Erick Wolfmeyer), Tamara Lea Caffee (Ray), Jodean LaRae Speck (Shannon), Michele Lynne Wieseler (Alan) and Clark Jeremy Cotton (Adrienne Zeller); his grandchildren, Naomi Caffee (Jon Isaac), Vance Caffee (Jennie), Jay Welk (Tandra), Jennifer Thyen (Nathan), Hannah Caffee, Olivia Randall (Joshua), Evan Wieseler (Shelby), Eleanor Cotton (Jon Salisbury), Sylvia Johnson (Colin), Elizabeth Steptoe (Trent), Joseph Wieseler (Erica), Ian Speck, Eric Speck and Samuel Cotton; his great grandchildren, Paul, Marie, Joel Randall, Nolan, Ivan, Logan, Rhys Caffee, Ellie, Millie, Asher Welk, Vaelynn Welk, Averi, Weston, Clara Thyen, Miles, Mabel Steptoe, Leo, Rudy Wieseler and Ledger Johnson; his siblings, Ardith Bristlin (Gil) and Thomas Cotton (Donna); and his siblings-in-law, Inez Cotton, Aloa Carter, Carolyn Testerman and Philip Testerman (Phyllis). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (321 W 1st Ave, Miller, SD 57362). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
