He was predeceased by: his parents, Creed Harrell and Alice Harrell (Clark); his brother Ola Ray; his wife Wanda Esther Deuter Throop; and his siblings, Claude, Willard, Norval, Edward, Ernest, Audrey Harrell Reger and Erma Harrell Hunter.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn and Trish Harrell of St. Lawrence, SD; his grandsons, Colby and Ethan; his children, Harry and Nancy Harrell of Miller, SD; his grandchildren, Remington, Gentry and Sawyer; his children, Darvin and Nichole Harrell of Bennett, CO; his grandchildren, Audrey and Kody; his daughter Arlene Batin (Rick) of Miller, SD; and his grandchildren, Alvena, Eli and Garrett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
