He was predeceased by: his wife Donna McCue; his parents, George Hargens and Bessie Hargens; his grandson Talis Tapio; and his siblings, Mable Holt, Eileen Stender, George Hargens and Edward Hargens (Decan).
He is survived by: his children, Robert LeGrand (Patsy) of St. Lawrence, Susan Mareska (Brad) of Mobridge, Yvonne "Vonnie" Tapio (Galen) of Rapid City and Connie Martinmaas (Bill) of Reno; his siblings, Charles Hargens (Joyce) of Miller, Richard Hargens of Miller, Lester Hargens (Carolyn) of Miller, Raymond Hargens (Linda) of Idaho and Hazel Clement of Miller; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Hargens, Charlene Hargens, Katherine McCue and Pam Weeder (Dale). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
