He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Palmer and Sybil Palmer (Kimbrough); his son Karl Dean; his stepmother Olga; his siblings, Omer, Vernon, Loren, Nova, John, Kenneth, Fern, Ruby and Freda; and his stepsiblings, Jim, Don, Royce, Keith, Skip, Sidney, Betty, Rose and Inez.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura Louise (Larry); his wife LaVerta; his grandson Cody Schnetter (Bethany Dudley); and his stepsister June Ehrich.
