It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Olson of Milbank, South Dakota, born in Inwood, Iowa, who passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Brown and Ethel Brown (Leffler); her former husband Dale Skadsen; and her siblings, Zonita, Opal and Lloyd.
She is survived by: her husband Clayton Olson of Milbank, SD; her sons, Dennis Skadsen (Lori) of Lake City, SD and Mark Skadsen (Marla) of Sioux Falls, SD; her stepchildren, Lisa McCullouch (Dennis) of Salem, OR, Jodi Dietz (Wayne) of Albert Lea, MN, Kris Fjelstad (Zach) of Moorhead, MN and Calvin Olson of West Fargo, ND; and her sister Gladys Coffin of Le Mars, IA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
