It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max A. Gonzenbach of Milbank, South Dakota, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Gonzenbach and Trudy Gonzenbach (Hauser); his wife Jeanne Spilde; his children, Lauri Gilbert (Kevin), David Gonzenbach (Stacy) and Trudi Robel (John); his grandchildren, Hunter Gilbert (Breanna), Isabel Gilbert, Derek Gonzenbach (Whitney), Haley Gonzenbach, Tyler Robel (Reanna), Max Robel and Jake Robel; his great grandchildren, Ava Gonzenbach, Kye Gonzenbach and Gia Gonzenbach; his sisters, Ruth Colby and Heidi Feekes (Ron); his parents-in-law, Alice Doscher and Alfred Spilde; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Spilde and Ralph Colby (Gia Gonzenbach).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Milbank Education Foundation.
