He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Farrell (Bill) and Bernice Farrell (Finnegan); his wife Charlotte of Milbank, SD; his children, Kathy Jones (Jeff) of Milbank, SD, Karla Kastrup (Troy) of Milbank, SD, Steve Farrell (Kris) of Milbank, SD and Paul Farrell (Tracy Bennett) of Milbank, SD; his grandchildren, Alysha Johnson (Dana), Corinne Dohman (Drew), Adam Jones (Presley), Claire Kastrup, Morgan Jones, Alex Farrell, Addie Farrell and Juddson Farrell; and his sister Maureen Dinter of Milbank, SD.. He was also cherished by 2 great-grandchildren.
During his 74 years of auctioneering, Jim volunteered his services for many charity events including calling auctions for Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, the Turkey Federation, the Cancer Walk, 4-H, and various school and church fundraisers. Jim once auctioneered at 41 charity events in one year.
