He was predeceased by: his father Jim Houston; his brothers, Curtis Houston, Miguel Houston and Ryan Lee Shepard; and his grandson Blaine Rideaux.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Houston; his children, Jalene (Terry), Christal, Jessica, Brooklyn (Tommy), Stephen (Shena) and Anthony (Cassidy); his stepsons, Christopher (Sherry) and Brian (Jody); his mother Betty Shepard; and his siblings, Andre Houston, Kimberly (Tina), Ingrid (Lynn), Millette Half-Siblings (Archie), Ruby, Jeannie and Valerie (Jimmy). He is also survived by loving nephews, nieces, grandchildren.
