He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard C. Rave and Violet Rave (Thornton); his brother Willard "Jim" Rave; his son Beau; and his grandson Jaren.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mollie, Thornton Lee, Vaughnelle Peniska and Francine McKenzie (Peniska); his wife Gloria Jean Rave (McBride); and his children, Jared D. McBride, Raylene M. Rave, Savannah V. F. Rave and Santeena C. McBride. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
