He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hecht and Lena Hecht (Boehmer); his wife Ina Hunzeker; his in-laws, Marie and Earl; his sister Shirley Sisson (Hecht); his brothers-in-law, Bill Sisson, Conrad Bastow, Clark Hunzeker and Roger Macklem; and his nephew Curtis Bastow.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Wright (Chuck) of Warsaw, MO, Mark Hecht (Carmen) of Sioux Falls, SD, Michael Hecht (Ann) of Menno, SD and Scott Hecht (Melody) of Lincoln, NE.; his grandchildren, Sarah Lampitt (Matt), Elizabeth DeLacy (Steve), Abigail Smith (Brandon), Keegan Hecht (Alaina), Peyton Hecht, Cale Hecht, Nathan Hecht (Katrina Moyer), Rachael Stepanek (Kaleb), Carissa Brunk (John), John Hecht, Joshua Hecht, Anna Hecht, Jacob Hecht and Ella Hecht; his brother Gayle Hecht (Margaret) of Pawnee City, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Alan Hunzeker (Barbara) of Westminster, MD, Joan Macklem of Fremont, NE and Marge Hunzeker of Pawnee City, NE. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
