He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joyce Stout, June Starkjohn and Jerry Parkinson. He is survived by: his wife Alvina of Rapid City; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Parkinson (Suzanne Stratford) of Rapid City and Jeffrey "Jeff" Parkinson of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and his siblings, Ernest "Butch" Parkinson (Lynn) of Irene and Sydne Lenox of Kadoka. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joyce Stout and June Starkjohn and brother Jerry Parkinson.
