He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gehring and Lydia Gehring (Moser); his grandparents, William, Justina Moser (Schweigert), Godfred and Christina Gehring (Schmeier); and his former wife Janet Gehring (Doan).
He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Gehring, Dana Gehring and Jaycee Gehring (Nate Thompson); his partner Penney Leetch; his stepchildren, Jessie Ahlers and Josh Leetch (Jamie Pullum); his grandchildren, Axle and Baylor; his siblings, Charlotte Moser (Donnie), Joyce Frazier (Dave), Donna Mott (Don), Curtis Gehring (Annette) and Fritz Gehring (Rita); and his aunts, Violet Bronson (Moser), Irene Heinrich (Moser) and Shirley Stoecker (Moser). He is also survived by numerous cousins; and many grand-dogs.
