It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Karpuk of McCook Lake, South Dakota, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Ivan; and his parents, Joseph Ann and Mary Ann. He is survived by: his sibling Morgan Street; his wife Lorall Hartzell; his children, Jonny Karpuk (Erin) of Napa, CA, Tommy Karpuk (Sara) of Urbandale, IA, Alex Karpuk (Sara) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Kayla Ferguson (Tanner) of Cleveland, OH; his grandchildren, Jack, Lucy, Shea, Olivia, Hudson, Ella, Walker, Adelyn, Mikey, Ophelia and Helena; and his siblings, Fred Karpuk (Beth), Lori Moody (Doug), Ted Karpuk and Joanne Friedman (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Bishop Heelan High School or Downtown Partners.
