Eugene N. Strong Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene N. Strong of McCook Lake, South Dakota, born in Climbing Hill, Iowa, who passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Strong and Nina Strong (Arnold); his wife Sherry Knittel; and his brother Chet Strong. He is survived by: his sisters, Rose Linduski, Janet Kruse and Lavonne Blutt (David); his children, Deborah Meyer (Greg), Norman Strong (Jan), Steven Strong (Amy) and Rebecca West; his grandchildren, Jill West (Paul), Jessica Thaut (Ethan), Josh Strong (Melissa), Jaime Oostenink (Seth), Angie Thoreson (Matt), Adam Strong (Joyce), Ashley Strong, Andy Strong (Kristin) and Sophie Strong; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Dezi, Jed, Rex Oostenink, Gracie, Bode Strong, Lilly, Kol and Magnus Thoreson. He is also survived by the oldest of five children, Gene was a dutiful son and admired older brother.
