He was predeceased by: his father Richard Coon (Dick); his nephew Justin Cano; his siblings-in-law, Beryl Brunsch, Jack Brunsch and Carol Anderson (Stanton); and his niece Angela Amiotte.

He is survived by: his mother Violet Coon (Huckins); his wife Cindy; his siblings, Diana Cano, Judy Soderlin and Dan Coon (Diane); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Kehn, Jane Rutherford (Rusty) and Jim Brunsch (Jill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
